The Technische Universität Braunschweig has inaugurated its new Digital Construction Site (DCS) research infrastructure, showcasing what the construction site of the future could look like. Featuring a six-meter-high large-format 3D concrete printer, an automated concrete mixing plant, mobile robots, tracking systems and a digital control center, the project aims to advance digitalisation in construction, improve productivity and sustainability, and serve as a real-world testbed for integrated, automated building processes under actual construction conditions.
